일 치 The parishioners in a village decided to honor the fiftieth yearin the priesthood of their pastor. Times were bad, and cash was scarce, so they decided that each person would bring a gallon of wine and put it into the pastor''s wine barrel. After Mass on the appointed Sunday a delegation of parishioners called on the father and told him what they had done. The old manwas delighted and insisted that they all come to the wine barrel and drink a glass in honor of the occasion. But it was found to be water.
