A visitor to Washington parked his car near the Capitol, and as he
stepped out he said to a man standing nearby, "If you are going to be
here for the next few monutes, will you keep an eye on my car?"

"Do you realize I''m a United States Senator?" asked the bystander.

"No, I hadn''t known it," said the motorist.

"But it''s all right. I''ll trust you."

워싱턴에 온 사람이 국회의사당 근방에 주차하고는 차에서 나와 옆에
서있는 사람을 보고 "몇분 더 여기 계실거면 내 차좀 봐주시지요" 라고
말했다.

"난 상원의원이란 말이요, 알겠소?" 고 그사람은 대답했다.

"거, 미처 몰랐네요. 하지만 괜찮아요. 믿어드리리다"

자동차 임자가 말했다.
