A man who wanted a loan to buy a new car was turned down by the
bank.

Dejected, he went home and told his wife the bad news.

"Why didn''t you tell me about the car sooner?" she exclaimed.

"I have about five thousand dollars in a secret account in the
bank."

"Five thousand dollars! Wherever did you get that kind of money?"

"Well," she said, "I''ve put away a dollar from the house money
every time we''ve made love."

"Hell," he said, "If I had known you were doing that, I''d have
given you all my business!"

새 차를 살 자금을 마련하려고 융자받으러 은행에 갔던 사람이 퇴짜를
맞았다.

의기소침해서 집에 돌아온 남편은 그 사실을 아내에게 털어놓았다.

"진작 자동차 이야기를 하지 그랬어요. 내가 은행비밀계좌에 5,000달러를
가지고 있는걸요"라고 아내는 말했다.

"5,000달러나! 아니 그게 웬돈이요"

"있잖아요, 우리가 관계할적마다 집안용돈에서 1달러씩 저축했던
거라구요"

"제기랄, 그런줄 알았으면 그쪽에 전력을 쏟는건데 그랬잖아"
