Two graduates of the Harvard School of Business decided to start
their own business and put into practice what they had learned in
their studies.

But they soon went into bankruptcy, and an unlettered old fellow
took over the business.

Some time later the two young men called on the old man when they
heard he was doing a booming business.

"What is the secret of your success?" they asked him.

"There''s really no secret," said the old man.

"As you know, schooling and theory is not my line.

I just buy an article for $1 and sell it for $2.

One percent profit is enough for me."

하버드경영대학원은 나온 두사람이 직접 사업을 시작하여 학교에서 배운
이론을 실천에 옮겨보기로 했다.

그러나 그들의 장사는 얼마 안가서 거덜나 일자무식의 영감님에게로
넘어갔다.

얼마후 영감님의 장사가 썩 잘 된다는 소문을 들은 두사람은 노인을
찾아갔다.

"성공하신 비결이 뭡니까?"

"뭐 비결이랄것도 없다네. 알다시피 나야 학교나 이론과는 무관한 사람이
아닌가. 그저 물건을 1달러에 사면 2달러에 팔뿐이야. 1퍼센트만 남기면
된단 말씀이야"
