One day a fellow started through the gate of a large factory
wheeling a wheelbarrow full of sawdust and was stopped by the guard.

He told the guard he had permission to take the sawdust.

The guard checked and found out that this was correct, and let the
man go on his way that day-and for many days thereafter.

Finally, a fellow worker asked the sawdust collector, "Are you
stealing the sawdust?"

"No," was the reply, "not the sawdust. I''m stealing wheelbarrows."

손수레에 톱밥을 가득 싣고 큰 공장을 나오던 사람이 정문에서 제지를
받았다.

그는 톱밥을 가지고가도 좋다는 허가를 받았노라고 했다.

수위는 그것이 사실임을 확인하고는 그를 통과시켰다.

그의 톱밥반출은 그로부터 여러날 계속되었다.

마침내 그의 동료 한사람이 그에게 물었다.

"자네 톱밥을 훔쳐내고 있는거야?"

"아냐, 톱밥이 아니라 손수레를 훔쳐가는 거라네"
