Little George came home from school with a new book under his arm.

"It''s a prize, mother," he said.

"A prize? What for, dear?"

"Teacher asked me how many legs an ostrich had and I said three."

"But an ostrich has two legs."

"I know that now, mother, but the rest of the class said four; so I
was the nearest."

어린 조지는 새책 한권을 겨드랑이에 끼고 학교에서 돌아와서는 "엄마 나
상 탔어"라고 했다.

"상이라니 웬 상이냐?"

"선생님이 타조는 다리가 몇개냐고 물으시길래 내가 셋이라고 한거야."

"하지만 타조는 다리가 둘이잖아."

"참 그렇더군.

하지만 딴 애들은 넷이라고 했단 말이야.

그러니 내 답이 정답에 제일 가까웠던거야."
