NASA was interviewing professionals to be sent to Mars.

Only one could go, but with one catch-he couldn''t return to Earth.

The first applicant, an engineer, was asked how much he wanted for
going.

"One million dollars," he answered, "because I want to donate it to
college."

The next applicant, a doctor, asked for two million.

"I want to give a million to my family," he explained, "and leave the
other million to my church."

The last applicnat was a lawyer.

When asked how much money he wanted, he whispered in the interviewer''s
ear, "Three million dollars."

"Why so much more than the other two?"

he was asked. "Because, if I get $3 million, I''ll give you $1 million,
I''ll keep $1 million, and we''ll send the engineer!"

항공우주국이 화성으로 보낼 전문인들을 면접했다.

단 한 사람만 가는데 다시 돌아오지 못한다는 함정이 숨어 있었다.

첫 응모자인 엔지니어에게 얼마면 가겠냐고 물었다.

"1백만 달러요. 대학에 기부하려고요"라고 대답했다.

의사인 다음 응모자는 2백만 달러를 달라는 것이다.

"1백만달러는 가족에게, 또 1백만달러는 교회에 헌금하겠습니다"라고
그는 설명했다.

마지막 응모자는 변호사-그는 면접진행자의 귀에 대고 소곤거렸다.

"3백만달러요"

"어째서 딴 사람들보다 그렇게나 많이 달라는 건가요?"

"3백만 달러를 받아 당신이 1백만 달러를, 내가 1백만달러를 가지고 저
엔지니어를 보내면 되잖아요!"
