A woman found a police officer writing a ticket for her misparked car.

She had visited a new restaurant and didn''t know the neighborhood parking rules, she said in apology.

Had she had a nice lunch?

"No, it was terrible," she said.

"Alas," said the officer, "two disappointments in one day would be too much!"

And he tore up the ticket.
