In a San Francisco cafe, a man fell into conversation with a charming elderly widow who said that her greatest pleasure was to go to Las Vegas to play roulette.

"But the bus is rough, and I''m too old to take any more trip," she said sadly.

"I hope soon to be in a better place."

Alarmed at her pessimism, the man began to make a reassuring remark, but she interrupted him.

"Yes," she said firmly, "I''m buying a condominium in Reno."

샌프란시스코의 한 카페에서 어떤 사람이 곱게 늙은 한 미망인과 이야기를 나누게 되었는데 그분은 라스베이거스로 가서 룰렛을 하는 것이 최대의 낙이라고 했다.

"그런데 버스길이 고생스럽고 이제 나이가 너무 많아 다니지를 못해요"라고 비통해하면서 할머니는 "좀 있으면 좋은 데로 가게 될 거구만"이라고 말하는 것이었다.

할머니가 낙심하는 데 놀란 상대방은 위로의 말을 하려고 했는데 할머니의 이야기가 계속 되었다.

"그래요, 나 리노에 콘도를 살거라구요"
