The lady didn''t make it to hospital for the birth of her child.

In fact, the baby was born on the lawn just outside the main entrance.

The poor woman was dreadfully embarrassed and was being consoled by one of the nurses, who said, "Don''t worry about it. It could have been worse. Why, two years ago we had a woman who gave birth in the elevator."

"That was me!" the woman burst into tears.

아기를 낳으러 병원으로 가던 여자가 미처 병원에 당도하기 전에 일이 벌어졌다.

중앙 출입구 앞 잔디밭에서 분만하게 된 것이다.

사뭇 당황한 산모를 위로하면서 간호사 한 사람이 말했다.

"너무 상심말아요. 이보다 더 한 경우도 있거든요. 글쎄 2년전엔 승강기 안에서 분만한 여자가 있었지 뭡니까"

"그게 나였다구요!" 라며 여자는 울음을 떠뜨렸다.
