"Senator," said a reporter, "a lot of your constituents can't understand from your speech last night just where you stand on the question."

"Well, that's fine," replied the politician. "It took me as many as seven hours to write
it that way."

"의원께서 간밤에 하신 연설을 들어 가지고는 이 문제에 대해 어떤 입장이 신지 알 수 없다
는 유권자들이 많습니다"

기자로부턴 이런 말을 들은 그 정치인은 대답했다.

"거 잘 된 일이군요. 실은 그런 효과를 내려고 무려 일곱 시간을 들여서 그 연설문을 작성
했거든요"
