The son wanted to celebrate his father's birthday by giving the old man a specially tailored suit.


So they went to one of the well-known tailors of the town.


Having taken the measurements of the customer, the master tailor of the shop said, "It won't be ready for thirty days."


"Thirty days！" protested the old man. "Why, the Lord created the entire world in six days."


"That's true," said the tailor. "And have you taken a good look at it lately?"



아들은 아버지의 생일 기념으로 정장 한 벌을 맞춰드리기로 했다.


그래서 그 고장에서 이름 있는 양복점으로 갔다.


주임 재단사는 치수를 재고 나서 "옷이 다 되려면 30일이 걸립니다"라고 했다.


"30일씩이나요！" 아버지는 불평했다.


"아니 하느님은 세상만물을 엿새 동안에 만들어내지 않았습니까！"


"그럼요 그랬죠.그래서 요즘 세상 꼴이 어떠한지 어디 좀 보시죠."
