The envoy from a rich country visited the president of a developing country. In the waiting room he talked with two of the country's ministers for five minutes.

When he was ushered into the president's room,he said to the president,"I really don't want to bother you but I talked with two of your ministers,and my gold watch disappeared."

The president said,"OK. I'll take care of it," left the room and came back two minutes later with the watch.

"Thank you very much," said the envoy. "I hope that I didn't cause any trouble between you and them." "No problem," said the president. "They did not notice."



부자나라에서 온 특사가 개발도상국 대통령을 방문했다．

대기실에서 그는 그 나라 장관 두 사람과 5분 동안 이야기를 나누었다．

대통령집무실로 안내 받아 들어간 특사는 "귀찮게 해드릴 생각은 없습니다만 장관 두 분과 이야기를 나누고 나서 보니 저의 금시계가 없어졌습니다"라고 했다．

"알았어요．내가 알아보리다"라고 말하고 방에서 나간 대통령은 2분 후 시계를 가지고 돌아왔다．

"이거 대단히 고맙습니다．이 때문에 대통령님하고 그 분들 사이에 문제가 생겨서는 안 될 텐데요"라고 특사는 말했다．

"걱정할 것 없어요．저 사람들 눈치 채지 못 했으니까요." 대통령의 대답이었다．
