Little Johnny, a Catholic lad, was out looking for trouble．

He kicked a cat on the streetrthrew bricks through windows… smacked folks on the top of the head， until a cop stopped him．

"What’s going on here?" bellowed the officer．

"It‘s like this officer, "winked Johnny．

"I am on my way over to church to go to confession… and I’m a little short of materials."


천주교 신도인 어린 조니는 말썽을 부기로 작정하고 나섰다．

거리에서 고양이를 발길로 차는가 하면 창문으로 벽돌을 내던지기도 하고 사람들의 머리를 후려치기도 하다가 마침내 경관의 제지를 당했다．

"무슨 짓을 하고 있는 거야?"하고 경관은 소리를 질렀다．

"이 거 있잖아요… 나 지금 성당으로 고해성사 하러 가는 길인데 이야기할 게 좀 부족하거든요."
