A tourist is picked up by a cabbie in New York on a dark night．

The passenger taps the driver on the shoulder to ask him something．

The driver screams, loses control of the car, nearly hits a bus, drives up on the sidewalk, and stops inches from a shop window．

"Don’t ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me！"

The passenger apologizes and says he didn’t realize that a little tap could scare him so much．

The driver， after gathering himself together, replied, "Sorry, it’s not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver--I‘ve been driving hearses for the last 25 years!"


캄캄한 밤에 택시기사는 뉴욕거리에서 관광객을 태웠다．

손님은 뭔가를 물어보려고 택시기사 어깨를 툭툭 쳤다．

운전사가 비명을 지르면서 놀라는 바람에 차는 중심을 잃고 버스에 부딪칠 뻔하다가 인도로 올라가 상점 창문으로 바짝 다가가서 멈췄다．

"다시는 그러지 말아요．혼비백산 했단 말입니다！"손님은 사과하면서 어깨를 좀 건드린다고 그렇게까지 놀랄 줄은 몰랐다고 했다．

운전사는 정신을 차리더니 "미안합니다．손님 탓이 아닙니다．25년 동안 영구차를 몰다가 오늘 처음으로 택시를 몰게 되었거든요！"라고 말하는 것이었다．
