After being away on business, Tim thought it would be nice to bring his wife a little gift．

"I’d like to see some perfume," he said to the cosmetics clerk．

She showed him a bottle costing $50.00．

"That‘s a bit much," he siad, so she returned with a smaller bottles for $30.00．

"That’s still quite a bit,"Tim complained．

Growing annoyed, the clerk brought out a tiny $15.00 bottle．

"What I mean," said Tim, "is I‘k like to see something really cheap."

The clerk handed him a mirror．


출장 여행을 끝낸 남자는 아내에게 작은 선물이나마 사가지고 가는 게 좋지 않을까 싶었다．

"향수 좀 보여주세요"라고 그는 화장품을 파는 점원에게 말했다．

여자가 보여준 건 50달러짜리．

"그건 좀 비싸네요"라고 하자 점원은 가서 30달러짜리를 가지고 왔다．

"이것도 좀 비싸네요"라며 그는 퇴짜를 놓았다．

그러자 짜증스러워진 점원은 15달러짜리 작은 향수병을 내보였다．

"난 정말 싸구려를 보고 싶단 말입니다"라고 팀은 말했다．

그러자 점원이 그에게 건네준 건 거울이었다．
