My two neighbors were having coffee at my house．

“You know，” said one， “I was telling my husband that even after twenty years of marriage your husband is still a gentleman． I always see him get out of the car， walk around to your side and open the door for you．”

“Well，” said the other， “what you don’t know is that every time he does it， he says he sure will have that broken door handle fixed tomorrow．“

이웃에 사는 두 여자가 우리 집에 와서 함께 커피를 마셨다. “있잖아요, 난 우리 남편을 보고 댁의 남편은 결혼한 지 20년이 됐는데도 여전히 신사라고 말한답니다. 언제 봐도 차에서 내려서는 당신 쪽에 와서 문을 열어주니 말이에요”라고 한 여자가 말했다. 그러자 그 여자가 대답하는 것이었다. “잘 몰라서 그런 말을 하시는데,그렇게 할 적마다 뭐라고 하는 아세요, 내일 꼭 망가진 문손잡이를 수리할 거라지 뭐예요.”
