A seedy-looking man was sitting in the first row of a town meeting, heckling the mayor as he delivered a lengthy speech.

Finally the mayor pointed to the heckler and said, "Will that gentleman who differs with me please stand up and tell the audience what has he ever than for the good of the city?"

"Well， Mr. Mayor，" the man said in a firm voice. "I voted against you in the last election."



초라한 모습의 한 남자가 시민회의에 나와 맨 앞줄에 앉더니 시장의 장황한 여설을 들으면서 야유를 해댔다.

급기야 시장은 그 사람을 가리키면서 "나를 반대하는 거기 그분，자리에서 일어나 우리 시의 이익을 위해 대관절 어떤 일을 했는지 어디 얘기해 보시죠"라고 했다.

"그러죠，시장 나리，난 지난번 선거에서 당신에게 반대하는 표를 던졌습니다"라고 그는 당당하게 말했다.
