GIs in bull sessions agreed that most of those who managed to escape the draft were related to， or had influence， with politicians－that the sons of politicians had the biggest pull with the draft boards and the army.

Finally a voice called out， "You fellows have got it wrong. I'm a politician's son， and I'm here in the army just like the rest of you fellows."

"Yes, sir, Captain," they all cried out.

그런데 딴 소리를 하는 사람이 있었다. "너희들이 잘못 알고 있는 거다. 난 정치인의 아들이지만 너희들처럼 이렇게 군에 와 있잖아."

"알았습니다 대위님." 그들은 일제히 응답했다.
