The CEO was scheduled to speak at an important convention， so he asked one of his employees to write him a punchy， 20－minute speech. When the CEO returned from the big event， he was furious.

"What's the idea of writing me an hour－long speech？" he demanded to know. "Half the audience walked out before I finished." The employee was baffled. "I wrote you a 20－minute speech，" he replied. "I also gave you the two extra copies you asked for."

중요한 모임에서 연설을 하게 된 기업총수가 한 사원에게 20분짜리 박력 있는 연설문을 작성해 달라고 했다. 그런데 그 중요한 모임에서 돌아온 총수는 노발대발했다. “어쩌자고 한 시간짜리 연설문을 써준 거야. 내 이야기가 끝나기도 전에 듣고 있던 사람들 절반이 자리를 떠버렸단 말이야. ”그 사원으로선 난감한 일이었다. “전 20분짜리를 써드렸고 말씀하신 대로 두 부를 여분으로 작성해드렸는데요.”
