At the rural council， community leaders were discussing a proposal to build a wall round the churchyard. The general tone of the meeting was strongly in favor of the motion， until a member rose and said;

"It's obvious those outside the cemetery don't want to get in， and those inside can't get out. What on earth do we need a wall for？" The motion was dropped.


시골 부락회의에서 동네 지도자들이 교회묘지에 담을 치는 문제를 의논했다. 이야기는 대체로 담을 치자는 쪽으로 크게 쏠리고 있었는데 그때 한 사람이 불쑥 일어나더니 말하는 것이었다. "묘지 바깥에 있는 사람들은 안으로 들어갈 생각이 없고,그 안에 있는 사람들은 도저히 나올 수 없다는 게 엄연한 사실 아닙니까. 그런데 대관절 어째서 담이 있어야 한다는 겁니까？" 그 안건은 기각됐다.
