[비즈니스 유머] 호기심의 대가 - Price for Curiosity

A guy is walking past a high wooden fence at the insane asylum and he hears all the residents inside chanting, “Thirteen! Thirteen! Thirteen!” He walks along the long fence, but being a curious person, he can’t help but wonder why they are chanting “Thirteen!” over and over. His curiosity peaks and he frantically searches for a hole in the fence so that he may see what is going on. Finally, he spots one a few feet ahead. The hole is low in the fence and he has to kneel down to peer inside. As he looks in, someone inside pokes him in the eye! Then everyone inside the asylum starts chanting, “Fourteen! Fourteen! Fourteen!”

정신병원의 높은 나무 담을 끼고 걸어가던 남자는 안쪽에서 외쳐대는 소리를 들었다. “열셋! 열셋! 열셋!” 긴 담을 따라 걸어가던 호기심 많은 사내는 무엇 때문에 “열셋!”을 연거푸 외치는지 여간 궁금한 게 아니었다. 열심히 구멍을 찾아 안쪽을 엿보기로 했다. 마침내 전방에 구멍 하나가 눈에 띄었다. 그 구멍은 낮은 데 있어서 꿇어 앉아 안쪽을 엿봐야 했다. 들여다보는 순간 누군가가 그의 눈을 쿡 찌르는 것이 아닌가. 그러고는 안쪽 사람들이 외쳐대는 것이었다. “열넷! 열넷! 열넷!”
