An American scientist took a big dose of the wonder drug he had developed, then dropped off to sleep. He awoke 100 years later, in the year 2114, and immediately called his stock broker to see how his ten shares of GM were doing. The broker told him they were worth 30 million dollars. Overcome with joy the man called the liquor store to have a bottle of whiskey delivered. “Ten million for the whiskey and $3,000 for the delivery service, sir,” the store keeper said.

미국의 한 과학자가 자신이 연구해낸 묘약을 대량 복용하고 잠들었다. 백년이 지나 깨어나 보니 2114년이다. 우선 증권 브로커에게 전화를 걸어 그가 가진 GM 주식 10주의 시세를 물었다. 3000만달러란다. 좋아서 어쩔줄 몰라 하면서 그는 술가게에 전화를 걸어 위스키 한 병을 배달해 달라고 했다. “위스키는 1000만달러이고 배달료가 3000달러입니다.” 가게 사람 말이었다.
