[비즈니스 유머] 흥정 - Haggling

An elderly man took his 10-year-old grandson to his first flea market. He taught the kid the fine art of haggling. “Say someone’s selling a hunting knife for $20. Offer him $15.” He instructed. The kid got the concept, and when he spotted a jackknife he wanted that was selling for $5, he went into action. “I only have $3,” he told the woman at the booth. She smiled. “Then $3 it is.” With that he pulled out a $5 bill and waited for change.

노인이 열 살 된 손자를 벼룩시장에 데리고 갔다. 할아버지는 물건값을 깎는 묘미를 녀석에게 가르쳤다. “가령 20달러를 달라는 사냥 칼이 있다면 15달러에 팔라고 하는 거야.” 할아버지가 이렇게 가르치자 녀석은 말귀를 알아듣고 마음에 드는 잭나이프가 눈에 띄자 곧 행동을 개시했다. 값이 5달러로 표시된 그 칼을 가리키며 아이는 “가진 돈이 3달러뿐인데요”라고 그 부스의 여자에게 말했다. 여자는 미소를 지으며 “그럼 3달러로 하지 뭐”라고 했다. 그러자 녀석은 5달러짜리를 꺼내주고 거스름돈을 건네받길 기다리는 것이었다.
