SEOUL – GM’s Korean Operations are launching a campaign to assist customers affected by recent heavy rainfall, and facilitate a quick recovery from the damage.

A cash assistance program will be offered for the purchase of Chevrolet and GMC vehicles and support for repair costs for flood-damaged vehicles. In addition, emergency relief vehicles will help customers and flood-impacted areas recover from the heavy rainfall. Each of these programs will be carried out for a specified duration.

“GM believes our responsibility is to respond to our communities in need with sustainable solutions. This flood relief campaign has been initiated to help enable victims and communities that have incurred significant damage from heavy rains to recover swiftly,” said GM's Korean Operations Vice President of Vehicle Sales and Service Gustavo Colossi. “Every year, we provide assistance to areas impacted by flooding. We will continue to engage in initiatives to help our customers and communities.”

The Chevrolet and GMC brands are offering cash support for new car purchases for customers affected by flooding until the end of this month. Those who have suffered from flood damage can receive financial aid when purchasing a new Chevrolet or GMC vehicle by submitting documents from their insurance company or local government as proof of damage. The support amount is KRW 500,000 for the Chevrolet Traverse and Tahoe, and GMC Sierra, and KRW 200,000 for the Chevrolet Trax Crossover and The New Trailblazer.

Additionally, the Flood Damaged Vehicle Service Program will be available until the end of the year. This program is for customers without auto insurance whose vehicles were damaged by heavy rain or flooding. Support will be offered for up to 50% of repair costs when the customer’s vehicle is serviced at the Chevrolet service network.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet has established the Chevrolet Maintenance Reservation Call Center to offer convenient maintenance and inspections for Chevrolet and GMC vehicles through its network of about 400 service locations nationwide. The Call Center operates from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, excluding lunch breaks from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
