When Frederick the Great visited a Potsdam prison, prisoner afterprsoner told him he was innocent, the victim of schemers or policemistakes. But one man hung his head out and said, "Your Majesty, I am guilty and deserve the punishment I am getting." "폐하, 신은 죄지은 몸이라 마땅히 이런 벌을 받아야 하옵나이다" 그러나 대왕께서 일갈했다. "이 놈을 방면하여 이 속의 고귀하고 무고한 사람들에게 나쁜 물이 드는일이 없도록 하렸다" (한국경제신문 1996년 5월 23일자).
