.한국개발연구원(KDI)은 한국경제의 발전과정과 미래에 대한 미하버드대 국제개발연구소와의 공동 연구결과를 모은 2차 영문보고서 "Macroeconomic Policy and Adjust in Korea 1970~1990"과 "Industrialization and the State : The Korean Heavy and Chemical Industry Drive "(하버드대출판부간)를 미국에서 펴냈다. (한국경제신문 1996년 7월 12일자).
