The owner of a large company was leaving for the airport when he met the night watchman who had been on duty that very evening．
The latter told him that he had dreamed that night of his employer‘s plane exploding after takeoff． Superstitious, the owner postponed his trip．
As things turned out, the man’s dream was correct．
The plane crashed just after leaving the ground． The owner sent for the night watchman and gave him $5000 as a reward．
Then he fired him．
Why？ The man‘s duty was to stay awake the whole night．
큰 회사 사주가 공항으로 나가다가 바로 밤샘 근무를 마친 경비원을 만났다．
그날 밤 꿈에서 보니 사장이 타고 갈 비행기가 이륙하자 폭발하더라는 것이었다．
미신을 믿는 사람인지라 사장은 여행을 연기했다．나중에 알고 보니 그의 꿈은 적중했다．
그 항공기는 이륙 후 추락한 것이다．
사장은 그 경비원을 불러다가 5천달러의 사례금을 줬다．
그리고는 그를 해고했다．
왜？ 그의 임무는 밤새 깨어있어야 하는 것이었으니까．
